Jamboree at the Discovery Cube has been announced and it will be March 2, 2019 from 10am-3pm.
Stepping Forward’s Therapeutic Summer (C.A.M.P) Clinically Advanced Multi-modality Program is for children and young adults struggling with emotional and or behavioral difficulties. C.A.M.P teaches life skills, such as mindfulness, attention to tasks, motor skills, teamwork, expression of emotion, cognitive skills, social interactions, positive self-image and so much more. Campers improve in:
Self-esteem
Social behavior
Rule following
Friendship skills
Home behavior
Academic competence
Anger control
Problem-solving skills
Set in fun the modalities used are Behavior Modification, Token Economy, Modeling+Rehearsal Training, Individual Behavior Therapy, Social and Emotional Skill Training. Staff members are hand- selected professionals that include licensed clinical staff, master level interns, BCBA, Special Education Teachers, Ph.D.’s and Recreation Therapist.
