The comments and suggestions are addressed.   We Thank you for your time and commitment to making SFCC a world renowned program.

Words can not express the care and compassion that I feel when I think about how SFCC changed my son's life in such a postive manner. I love how much they love children despite their special needs.

Bussing from school to the program would be great for the after school program.

SFCC has made a great difference in my child's behavior and confidence level. However, I wish they would have parent classes that are more practical and more convenient for parent's schedules.

Scotch Plains School system has allowed us the opportunity to utilize your Summer program which was highly beneficial for my daughter. I would like to continue to use your program either during the week or on Saturdays but it is unaffordable to us. My daughter continues to make progress with your summer programs. I hope the school allows her to continue. We have been very satisfied with her progress, your instructors and your programs.

While it is hard to know what is helping when you are trying several things at once, I was impressed by the quality of the camp. I also liked how the camp had substantial, fun activities for kids when it rained. My son really enjoyed it.

Always very appreciative of everything SFCC does for both our son and our family.

My son has grown tremendously since attending Stepping Forward Counseling Center's programs. We use their behavior strategies often and they help to keep him motivated. My only feedback that is not so positive is that the fees of the program are not truly transparent. The costs need to be told upfront instead of receiving an astronomical bill when the insurance pays less than anticipated.

It's just so much money but we had a great summer.

Amazing staff, kind, caring compassionate and always go the extra mile!

SFCC has made a great difference in my child's behavior and confidence level. However, I wish they would have parent classes that are more practical and more convenient for parent's schedules.

My son was at SFCC for four weeks this summer, and my only criticism is that I wish the counselors would have shown me his goal sheet at the end of each day so I could see what he was working on at camp, along with some advice on things to continue at home - ie, positive affirmations, anxiety management, and self-care techniques, etc.

I have concerns or, better put, observations, but they aren't important enough to mention or I would have done so already. To do so now would only make me sound like a complain train which I don't need to be, plus I think it would be rather unfair since my son got a lot of out the program which shows at home and now that he is in school as well. It would be pretty silly to think that everything is going to be tailored to better fit my child, although if I had to pay out of pocket what my insurance was being charged for I would have expected the program to be tailored to a much greater degree to his needs than it was. However, quite honestly, the bottom line for me, the traffic to the site makes it impractical to take my son back. We were constantly exhausted from the traffic and the ride. In addition, I don't think this program is the best fit for my ADHD son. I feel he needs to be with a group his age with similar issues to get the most of this type of program. In my head, the program that would work for him would not only teach him about social cues and being compliant with an adult's instructions, etc., but would also need to work with him on answering his questions and generating solutions related to how to respond when faced with a social issue with peers (bullying and peer pressure) in either a one on one setting or in a role playing scenario, something like that. However, this program is an excellent fit for children on the autism spectrum and I would recommend the program highly for that group. In addition, the communication with the director and staff was excellent and they were flexible in accommodating our needs as best they could. In addition, I found Mr. Mauricio in particular to be very effective at getting my child to write. He quickly picked up what was blocking him and I have to say that he has been writing much better with the technique that Mr. Mauricio used with him. I also thought the sessions for parents were very, very, very informative and I got a lot of out them. I'm glad I took them. I think it would be beneficial that as part of that program that the model being used with our children be taught to us so we can more fully model or support them at home. That is what I was expecting would happen at some point, but I am more than satisfied with the information that I personally received at those sessions.

I would like a little more flexibility on the schedule. 6 hours a week is hard enough to commit to - but having to definitely have it on MW or TTh is hard for all other scheduling that needs to take place.

The staff has been instrumental is helping us work through our issues and develop real solutions to help our child succeed. We owe them so much and are very grateful!

Thank you to the SFCC staff who made a huge difference in our daily family life! We are finally at a point where we don't need to be mad at each other all the time and can live peacefully and lovingly!

Admin's inflexible policies around payment for weeks were not all days are used (2-3 days/mon-wed) is likely a deal-breaker for us coming back.

We love your summer program! Staff is wonderful, too. It would be nice to have a little more communication as far as how the child is doing on goals or specifics on how issues/goals are being addressed.
SFCC has been transforming for my child and our family. It is a very professional and warm environment.

When I had concerns about my child or the program they were heard, but I wish I would have received more direction of how to help at home. I still feel a little lost if I am handling situations correctly. I wish parent training were actually training of how to handle difficult situations. I also wish that the counselors would say more than "your child had a good day". Good is so subjective that it's hard to really know what that means. My child would say I got 7/7 but I know through the day they probably earned more, so it would be helpful to know overall how many points they had earned for the day. I also didn't understand if they had a good day why did they only earn the first shelf. To me a good day in my mind would equal a higher shelf. But overall an outstanding program.

SFCC is a lifesaver for the families of kids with special needs. The ability to attend a camp setting with a therapy focus is unique and nearly impossible to find elsewhere. I will continue to send my daughter to SFCC during the school year and the summer, for as long as she requires the support. Thank you for everything you've done for us this summer.

My child loves your program. We definitely have noticed improvements in his behaviors since he started the program.

Great staff and excellent customer service. Love that they care and very responsive.

Great program. Younger staff need to feel empowered to share details about child's progress or at least facilitate getting a status report to parents. Parents are still confused on how to approach for info at end of day. I know to ask and set up my 1:1, but many parents don't and feel lost. Be transparent about how you want to communicate. They are also super tentative about how to interact with kids which give kids mixed signals. Office staff (BREE!!!!) and tenured counselors are fabulous. Cost is phenomenal for services received if insurance covers. Incredibly positive, beneficial environment with very unique approach. Love your program.
We have been very happy at SFCC! There is not a lot of place or program where my boy fits in but you guys are awesome with him! Thank you!

I enrolled my 5-year-old son with autism in the summer program (last summer 2017) and he absolutely loved it! The environment is very warm and the staff is very friendly. With such diverse culture, my son and my whole family felt most welcomed.
